A bettor profited close to $500,000 on the ouster of Venezuela's president just before it was made public, raising questions about whether someone profited from non-public details of the US operation.

Sudden Shift in Wagers

Bets placed on the crypto-platform, a crypto-powered platform, that Nicolás Maduro would be no longer in control by the month's conclusion surged in the period preceding President Donald Trump declared on the weekend that the Venezuelan leader had been seized.

One account, which registered on the site in December and took four positions, all on Venezuela, profited a total of $436,000 from a initial bet of over $32,000.
